Tenkai Sōjō's dark magic twisted the fabric of history to produce this alternate Yagyū Jūbei. While out falconing, she was beset by assassins; the true Jūbei managed to fight them off and escape with her life. So did this Jūbei, but her one remaining eye was injured, and her sight is starting to fade. That's alright, though. She knows there's another her out there. And that one has a perfectly good eye in her head. For now.
