Description[ | ]
The 21st head of the Ōtomo clan, and the Christian daimyō of Bungo Province. She sought to establish a Christian state on the island of Kyushu. Though pious and devout, she also possesses a huge inquisitive streak that makes her a nuisance to deal with. She badgered the missionaries who allied with her with so many persistent and complicated questions that many of them collapsed from overwork, and a guard had to be posted to keep her out of the infirmary while they recovered.
